Small town convenience store. Got fuel and snacks. Very clean.
If you just get gas, you are missing out! The staff genuinely greeted us when we walked in. The bathrooms were top notch, fresh scent, and decorated tastefully. Nice selection through the store with the option of subway. When checking out, the young male cashier was super friendly and asked us about our day. We both walked out feeling like we supported a legitimate business!
The young woman behind the counter continued to talk with her high school friend for another few minutes while I just stood there waiting to pay for a small fountain drink. I eventually took two dollars out of my wallet, assuming that was enough for a small soda, set it on the counter in front of me, and I walked out. Then when the Westbound 80 on ramp was closed I asked an older woman there how to get on the highway because the ramp was closed and my GPS didn’t know that. She scoffed like I was an idiot and said, “You follow the signs.” When you get off 80 and pull right into this gas station there are no signs. The signs are further down the street in the opposite direction. My GPS had already driven me through their town once because I headed up the frontage road thinking it was an onramp because the one next to it was closed. It’s strange that they were so unfriendly to a customer who just came in to fill their gas tank and get a soda.
We love this place! We always stop en route to Colorado. The ladies at the registers always have a smile and are more than happy to engage in conversation. Once in awhile the coffee will be tepid or empty, but it's a rarity and quickly remedied.
